Rodeo

This is a shot of the Goodyear Rodeo Grounds within the Estrella Mountain Park that Tracy took one day during a trek through EMP. I have fond memories of the rodeo grounds from back in the late 80's when I used to do notary work during the bull riding sessions. What a crazy thing to do for fun...bull riding I mean.

about 2 miles from our house was a rodeo that went on every friday night...they shut down 2 seasons ago due to the rising cost of insurance...sad.

Notary work during bull riding events? Hmmm. Let me think. Last Wills and Testaments I assume?

Brian - isn't it sad how the times they are a changin'?

Kathy - About the same thing - liability release forms. But I had fun meeting all those cowboys! I was single then. :)

That sounds like a fun job! Getting to be near the action, but not IN the action. I've never been to a rodeo.

To answer your question about Northwest Trek-- there are walking trails through the "tamer" animal sections, and then a little trolley that you ride through the larger, wilder animal sections. It's a pretty neat experience.

Great shot of the place.
My hubby rode broncs in his mis-spent youth. He always said that bull riders were just bronc riders that had their brains rattled.
