Low Maintenance Gardening
Sometimes it's just smarter to use garden art instead of trying to keep things growing here in the southwest desert. This cactus requires very little water to thrive. They make some really amazing ironwork pieces.

Committe, Venue or Wake - Your Call
A group of buzzards is called a wake. A group of vultures is called either a committee or a venue.
The whole committee thing explains a lot doesn't it. Be sure and notice the little baby one in the barbed
wire nest.

Buzzard's Roost
This handsome guy is another great find at Duncan's Family Farm. He sits in a dead ol' cottonwood tree waiting for something good to eat. He's made from a shovel head, garden rake and other hardware odds and ends. He reminds me of a cartoon I saw years ago of a buzzard sitting in a tree out in the middle of the desert with a caption that read, "Patience, hell. I'm gonna go out and kill something". Believe it or not that mindset has stayed with me. When I find myself waiting for life to come to me, I give myself a kick and go out and find something to do.
