Book Drop

This is the book drop in front of the Avondale Public Library. I waited to take this picture for what seemed like forever. A mother drove up with her little girl who had just learned to read in the back seat. The little girl wanted to drop off the books she had checked out herself. She had so many books that it was like watching the clowns spill out of the Clown Car. But it was cute.

I was thinking how did those books get left so neatly in a book drop. And so many of them look like they are a multivolume set. Duh! Only about three hours' sleep and my eyes are playing tricks on me. Neat shot!

This is so cool!

I love the little girl and her mother too. It's quite unusual nowadays to find children who love books more than their electronic games, and I think it's so sad.
