This bas-relief brick sculpture stands in front of Glendale Fire Station No.157 on N. 59th Ave. It is called “A Tribute to Firefighters” and depicts Glendale’s first fire station and truck. It was completed by Jay Tschetter of Lincoln, NE in 1997.
What an unusual technique, a bas relief carved from brick. I've never seen this before but it is very impressive. A wonderful tribute to one of our most important service people.
