Did Someone Lose a Chicken?

This is a local "watering hole" named Roman's Oasis. Some establishment has been on this site for decades. Roman's has lasted the longest and been the most successful. This place literally used to be in the middle of a couple of cotton fields. Now, they had to close the door on this side of the building because the city widened the road and brought it so close and there's a Super Target across the street.  It's such a fun place and Roman is quite the character.

This looks like a fun place. I think I should probably visit there. Do they also serve chicken?

This is great for business, I think. It would draw me in just to see what it looks like inside.

It does look like a fun place and I would love one of those wagon wheels on my (tiny) balcony! ;-)

Holy cow (ok, Chicken!)! I had forgotten about The Oasis - we used to eat out there when I'd be home from college! For a while the restaurant was two rooms - the bar and the restaurant. Both were hot, crowded, and NOISY. But the food was great! When I worked at Goodyear Aerospace, it morphed into a finer restaurant. But always, like you said, surrounded by cotton fields and vistas of the Estrellas and the White Tanks.

Let's go!

I would love to have that old Rooster out in my pasture. I wonder what the horses would think. LOL MB
