There are two Amazon.com fulfillment centers in Metro Phoenix and a third one on the way. This one is 800,000 square feet and located on Cotton Lane in Goodyear. The new fulfillment center will be more than 1 million square feet and open in October.
What I love about having Amazon so close is that I can choose free Super Saver Shipping and often times still get my order the next day. YAHOO! (Oops. That's a different website.)

I have bought books through Amazon and I didn't know where they came from. HA!! MB
Yeah, here it takes usually 8 to 21 days to get something from Amazon in the UK
Besides the fact that is nice to have the employment opportunities, it is sweet to get our orders so quickly! We ordered a Sony TV for my mom thru Amazon. Got it the next day. No shipping charges, no tax. I felt guilty.

I'm torn. Love old bookstores. Also love the "instant Christmas" of buying off Amazon. Already an cultural icon, that sign.
