Library Art

Avondale Civic Center Library
This tile mosaic adorns a side wall of the Avondale Civic Center Public Library. It was created by students of the Rancho Santa Fe Elementary school and artist Petra Adams and installed on the library wall in 2009. Each square depicts a different scene from Avondale's past and present.

Adams was recently commissioned by the library to create more mosaic art of which I will post a picture on another day.

So wonderful when the school kids are enabled to do these kinds of things. Working with an Artist no less. I bet they are pround of their work. MB

It looks beautiful and gives the children a feeling of pride to have created something like this.

very cool. that the kids made it makes it all the more special...lov all the colors..kids should be encouraged to explore arts in this way often...
