Memorial Day

This is the statue of Pat Tillman outside the University of Phoenix Stadium where the NFL Arizona Cardinals play their home football games.

Tillman was an Arizona State University and Arizona Cardinals football player. In 2002, shortly after the attack on the World Trade Center, Tillman left his professional football career (and the millions of dollars that came with it) to become a U.S. Army Ranger. He was killed by friendly fire in 2004 while serving in Afghanistan.

On this Memorial Day, we wish to remember Pat and all the other brave men and women who have given their lives in service to their country.

I know I shouldn't, but I can't help but laugh at the expression on his face. I'm so thankful that many good men and women take it upon themselves to defend our country with their lives.

We talk a lot of smack about how we could make this country better.

Well, guys like Pat DO something about it. God bless America and all who rest their heads here...

Love-
