La Voz - The Voice

This mural is on the ceiling of an entrance to the courtyard at 800 N. 1st Avenue in Phoenix. From the research I did, this was at one time the offices of the newspaper, La Voz. Certain sources I went to list the offices as somewhere else now and since we were there on a Sunday, I don't know if these offices are still associated with the paper or if anyone works here. I could not see a signature or find any information about the artist. I thought it was a very powerful piece though.

Powerful but I don't know if it is reassuring though! :)

I had forgotten about this one. Great capture. It was a difficult angle - photographing a ceiling when you couldn't stand under it!

It looks amazing. What an interesting mural for a newspaper office!

Thanks for tagging me with the 8-folder 8-picture challenge. I was going to do it, but seeing how the eighth picture was a not-very-flattering picture of my daughter, I'd rather skip the challenge and stay on her good side! ;-)

Amazing!! Keep digging for more info. I like murals even on the ceiling. MB
