Seems like most of our birds in Arizona build their nests in trees or cactus. Maybe houses are too hot for them. You know what it's like with no air conditioning out here!
Brian - Yes, there are neighborhood cats and of course, our roadrunner. I guess they could both be kind of discouraging to new parents. Lizzi - Oh, say it isn't so. I don't want it to be empty for a year. Kathy - I'll post a picture one day of the once beautiful, but now dilapidated, birdhouse my brother built that is always full. Go figure.
Birdman...my all time favorite. I have a copy and watch it about twice a year. I love it for so many reasons, but I fell in love with Gregory Peck watching this movie.

Oh, it's so charming with or without birds, anyway! Ours is also empty, and has been for the year since I put it up last spring.

Love this one! Did you see To Kill a Mockingbird on AMC last night? Agreed! Great classic!
